Lower Road Rotherhithe

The Swedish Seaman's Church was opened at 120 Lower Road, in 1905 and closed in December 2012.
Re: Lower Road Rotherhithe
The Lion Electric Theatre as it was called when it first opened in 1914 was situated at the Tramway Terminus on the corner of Lower Road and Rotherhithe New Road.
Sadly, the Lion Cinema came to an abrupt end when it was bombed during the Second World War, in fact it was bombed twice, the second time on the 12th of August 1944 when a V1 completely demolished the building.
