This was right of Tennis Street going towards Borough High Street, previously been known as Boar's Head Alley, and Sheers Alley.

Re: LONG LANE.
The Post Office Directory of 1910 shows James Frederick Parish, Greengrocer at 94 Bermondsey Street, also in Tanner Street. 94 Bermondsey Street, 2020, is now Eatelia. (Picture in Bermondsey Street Topic)
Re: LONG LANE.
I think this photo must be of 36 Tanner Street. The Eatalia building is clearly earlier than 1910 but is not the one in the photo. The photo also seems to have been taken before 1893 as the second edition OS map shows an alleyway where № 34 (to the right in the photo) had stood.kiwi wrote:The Post Office Directory of 1910 shows James Frederick Parish, Greengrocer at 94 Bermondsey Street, also in Tanner Street. 94 Bermondsey Street, 2020, is now Eatelia.

If you look at the photo it states that this shop was in Long Lane, and not where the Eatalia shop is, that is where Parish’s Bermondsey Street shop was. I think Parish had four shops all together, including the one in Tanner Street.
This is definitely not Tanner Street.
The Post Office Directory of 1910 shows J.F Parish Fruiterer & Greengrocers at No.94 Bermondsey Street, and a 1900 map confirms that there where buildings there at that time, and this is where the Eatalia shop is today.
Re: LONG LANE.
Picture States Long Lane, I could be wrong but I think the alley left was Tay Court formerly Tay Buildings, this went through to Decima Street.
Re: LONG LANE.
Henry Place no longer exists; it was situated between Pilgrimage Street and Southall Place. c1913.
Southall Place was off Long Lane, opposite Crosby Row, c1900.
