Ethelm Street ran from Cornwall Road behind the photographer through to Eaton Street which was renamed Greet Street c.1935. The road crossing is Windmill Street, now Windmill Walk. The Prince Alfred Pub is on the left (closed c1909), address 98 Cornwell Road, which would make it beside Evans Grocery shop in Cornwell Road.
