WW2, factory workers tired with the effort they have made as their part in the war, go away to a quiet little spot near Tunbridge Wells for a rest and a holiday. Miss E. Seager makes soldiers anklets and was a shirt maker before the war. Miss G. Pavey makes water bottle carriers for the Navy, Miss E. Evenden who now makes lifejackets was a dressmaker before the war. 1941.

Dad always parked his motorbike round the corner and under the railway arch. He used to say 'bombs never hit the place they are aimed at'.
