That is an interesting question Fogbrain, my first reaction was no its not George.
I do remember other people selling Sarsaparilla down East Lane and I can only remember George being in the lane itself and this is going back to the late 50s early 60s, and not with a cart.
I am not sure of the date of these pictures, but I think the answer might lay in the first picture and the flats in the background, which you can see are just being built. If we knew when they were built, we would more or less have a date and if it was after say the 1960s, I would say it is not George. Looking at the second picture of the cart the flats are finished, and they have possibly moved their pitch as near the corner is a parked van, unless the van has been parked there to guard their pitch?? Well not much help Fogbrain but I think it is better to try and answer a question than ignore it if someone as asked.
Just to add is that as far as I remember George lived just off Albany Road.
