Swan Mead in the Background left, looks like Guinness’s Buildings above the houses on the right. This must be before 1885 as Guinness’s Buildings was finished in that year and the end block which was behind Swan Mead is not there.
At the far end which was once called John Street before changing to Leroy Street was The Woodman Pub.
Leroy Street

Re: Leroy Street
Toby’s so many memories, yes things went on in there but in those days, (50s & 60s) there was respect for the elderly, family or not you hurt one and you would pay the price. Along the Tower Bridge Road, we all knew each other, for me a better and safer world.
Re: Leroy Street
This is my nephew and niece Robert, and Julie Hamilton his sister in the park, at that time they both lived in Guinness’s Buildings. They are with our Aunt Mary who lived in Swan Mead and sadly no longer with us.
