I grew up at 5 Portsmouth buildings, 1946 to 1966.
Went to school at Webb St school, my dad worked for Southern Railways at Bricklayers Arms goods yard driving a Mechanical horse lorry. Originally the buildings were for railway workers. I've lived in Norfolk for the last 40 years, visited Bermonsey a couple of years back, doesn't seem to be much left of where I grew up. Q is Bermondsey Central school still there ?.

Hi Eddiej, welcome to the site. Yes the school is still there and is now flats, picture in Pages Walk Topic. I was a van boy at the Bricklayers Arms around 1957 and learnt to drive in one off those Mechanical horse lorries.
