Two things I still try to do today, that is if I lift my leg I don't fall over, and that I have the strenght to break the wishbone. :roll:

This reminds me of the phone calls we get today, you cannot understand what they are saying either. :roll:
To think back then they told me I would never get a job in an office because I spoke Cockney. :(

A few of us will remember these, it was part of school life back then (1950s) and it did hurt.
Sometimes we did deserve it, fair enough, but what I didn’t like was the teachers that gave you it just because they enjoyed giving you the cane. Not me sunshine, fight back, and that was one reason I got chucked out of Riley Road School (Tower Bridge Road), best thing that happened to me at that time.
