JOHN RUSKIN STREET

Postby Sean.Byrne » Sat Jan 11, 2020 2:45 pm

John Ruskin was a Victorian artist, critic and writer. He is closely associated with Camberwell where he worked, lived and gained fame. Amongst his works he designed the beautiful stained glass windows in St Giles church. He has been honoured by having a street and a school named after him.

The Station Tavern was situated at 18 John Ruskin Street. This pub has now been demolished and replaced by the flats in the photo
Call me old fashioned but we replaced elegance with a box :D
