If you click on the image it should enlarge enough to make out the signs. Did anyone really buy Beechams pills back then? If the little girls are still with us they would be about 90 now. Hope so!

The first image below is the Benhill Nature Garden. There is a local society that looks after it. they have a Twitter and Facebook presence. The second pic is the area that was cleared to make way for the Nature Garden. It comprised of seven prefabs that were built as a result of WW2

The British Lion was situated at 112 Benhill Road.This pub is now used as flats.
