I remember those days; I built my own bike with spare parts I found in bombed houses or bomb sites. Now it’s just thrown away and buy a new one, why put the effort in. :(

Not sure of the lady’s name on the salad stall as it is a long time ago, but I think they use to call it Cissies Salad Stall. I remember both these ladies who helped to make The Lane a vibrant place all those years ago, it isn't what it used to be. :(

I can’t remember Clarry’s Bike Shop but have been told it was near Elsted Street.

Picture states, looking towards Walworth Road with St Mark’s Church Spire in distance, left.
If that is The Good Intent Pub on the right? St Mark’s Church and Walworth Road would be behind, not in front. I’m not sure of this but I think that could be the school in King & Queen Street down on the left. :?:

I could likewise be wrong(!) — but I think you’re right about the caption being wrong, Kiwi. I am also seeing King and Queen Street on the left, with The Good Intent on the right.

PS: Many thanks, as always, for the regular fix of new pics!
