Iron Yard was near Cathay Street and roughly opposite the Angel Pub.

I remember this café; I’m not sure but I think it was called Mabs. :?: Near to the Amos Estate and the Bulls Head & Half Moon Pub, opposite Bellamy’s Wharf.

Here is a picture of the battle cruiser itself that I have stumbled across while trying - and failing - to work out where the cafe in Kiwi’s post above once stood. The Half Moon and Bulls Head is to the left of view…

Hi GSLondon. As far as I can remember and it is a long time ago, the café was on the other side of the pub. I posted roughly the same picture on page 7, except your car is newer than mine. ;)

Thanks Kiwi, that helps me to place it. So the entrance to Bury Close now stands roughly where the cafe was. The alignment of the kerb is probably the only remnant that remains from the photo!
