Information regarding first picture. Yes freddie you are spot-on regarding where the picture was taken from. Lamb Alley (now Lamb Walk)
We can see the name W Pettitt on the gates of the entrance leading through to a backyard. William Thomas Pettitt was a wool rug manufacturer who had premises at 89 Bermondsey Street and also at Blue Anchor Lane, Bermondsey. C 1880 & 2015.

Noakes & Co. Ltd, Black Eagle Brewery, 27 White's Grounds, Bermondsey, London SE1.
Reputedly founded in 1697. Acquired by Day, Payne & Co. 1848 with 19 public houses and became Day, Noakes & Sons 1852.
Registered March 1897. Brewing ceased at the Black Eagle Brewery 1921 and was transferred to Windsor.
Acquired by Courage & Co. Ltd. 1930 with 120 tied houses and closed the following year.

The Marigold Pub, on the corner of Cluny Place & Bermondsey Street. Nice arcaded ground floor with glazed brick piers (possibly rebuilt above?). c2012.Locals still call it the Hand & Marigold but think it changed in about 2008?

The entrance to the factory yard was through an arch under buildings that fronted directly onto Bermondsey Street, just north of Newham Row, and led to the large factory buildings. Some of the buildings that faced directly onto Bermondsey Street were also owned by Christy’s. 500 people were employed at the factory.
