Cheers Fogbrain. I checked for a Post Office on the corner with Parkers Row and Hickmans Folly but had no luck. Re-checking on a 1900s and a 1950s map it does not show or indicate a Post Office being there. Either way we do know that it was in Jamaica Road.

Hi Fogbrain, just found a simular picture and map in the Parkers Row Topic, showing the Post Office just where you said it was.

The gates were opposite Paradise Street. They were reconstructed in their new location when Jamaica Road was widened and the roundabout laid out.

Slight doubts about Marine Street to the left. I know there was a pub called The Britannia on the corner of Marine Street way back, so I am assuming it had disappeared by the 1930s. The other thing is I could be completly wrong on the location.
