Correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t this Jamaica Road? with Storks Road to the left & The Greg to the right,St James Church in background. My first bank account was in the Midland on the corner, I haven’t a clue why I still have these cheques.

: This is Jamaica Road a similar location with Tram above.

The Rising Sun,it featured as The Rock in the football hooligan film ID (1995) Starring Reece Dinsdale, Sean Pertwee and Warren Clarke as the landlord.

World War II bombing of Millstream House in Jamaica Road. By looking at the brickwork, you can see where the building has been patched up, Curiously, when the building was restored in 1947, a gargoyle recovered from the debris of air raid damage at the Palace of Westminster was included in the works.

In the 1871 census Henry described himself as a picture frame maker living at 52 Parker’s Row, Dockhead, Bermondsey. Henry’s career as a photographer, therefore, began after 1871 but prior to 1876 when he opened a different studio at 14 Jamaica Road, Bermondsey. Henry died in 1921 at the age of 79.
