The Paragon, Searles Road was demolished in 1898 to make way for a London School Board School - a sad but neat illustration of the increase in population and so the inevitable decline in character of the area.

This was a nice surprise for me, only Mr Osmon was my Headmaster at John Harvard Secondary School in Union Street, Borough. (1953/57?) A long time ago, loved his sport.

I was there! At Paragon, I mean in 1970, this is a great photo from a first floor (?) window looking towards the "Brick". Would love to see any more from this time. There's quite a few on the Facebook page dedicated to Paragon School.
