- St Georges Road, Fountain pub, Marshall Street, right, pub closed in 1955, pub and street are no longer there. Would have been in-between Garden Row and Gayward Street.

- The Kings Arms was situated at 147 St Georges Road and is now used as an art gallery, corner of King Edward Walk right.

Behind the large building in the 1950s was a glue works.
- St George's Road, looking down Garden Row opposite.
- St Georges Road, 2020, looking down Garden Row, same location.

- St George's Road, Elephant & Castle, c1950.The bus stop was between Pastor Street and Oswin Street. Pastor Street has now been shortened and no longer runs into St Georges Road. The pub on the left was the Gibralter.

The Toby pub middle left is the Pineapple on the corner of Pastor Street. The tall white building on the right is the Burtons menswear store.
