John Shaw, of Walworth, a fruiterer with a passion for horses owns a pedigree Shetland piebald pony called Felbridge Flash. John found that when he went into his local pub for a drink the children would play with and tease Flash. So as a solution to this problem he now takes Flash complete with cart into the public house. British Restaurants were communal kitchens created in 1940 during the Second World War to help people who had been bombed out of their homes, had run out of Ration Coupons, or otherwise needed help. The Restaurants were discontinued in 1947.
