A little story to this post. I came across the c1914 Dowsett family photo quite a few weeks ago. Then on a completely different search I came across the picture of the Royal Navy Sailors Prisoners of War, with Richard Dowsett. I may be wrong, but it looks like Richard is the boy in the family photo c1917.
I then found a postcard with a Balaclava Road address which was posted from Great Yarmouth from a Mrs D in 1922.
Strangely I then found a photo of the Dowsett family in Great Yarmouth in 1922, could Mrs D, be Mrs Dowsett
I tend to think so.
I am not sure whether Richard Dowsett made it back home? I hope he did. I will try to find out but maybe someone will tell us.

Sometimes a picture brings a smile to your face, this one did for me, because Robert did make it home.
- Robert Dowsett, 1922. This looks like Keeton’s??
- Derek Dowsett. Aged 9. 1930s a Bermondsey Boy. Maybe part of the same family ??
