: Modern street map showing: RED ARROW – Site of glass jar depot beside Druid Street.
There was a company called French Flint – which had a depot at one time inside several railway arches in Druid Street, under the wide viaduct leading to London Bridge Station. Not sure whether they made glass jars or just supplied them?

The Marquis of Wellington Pub originally 28 Gedling street in the mid-1800s, then along the way it became 10 Gedling Street. After Gedling Street disappeared it became 21 Druid Street, I believe the pub is now closed?

I could - and do - spend hours trawling through the pics on this wonderful forum.

The Alfred Salter playground is a little further up Druid Street, right next to the Fisher Club building, and isn’t the smaller playground on the Arnold.

The Variety Club playground is the big one on the Arnold Estate opposite Neckinger Mills, but it isn't associated with Alfred Salter.
