Aulay Street

No old photo of the roads, but I wanted to find out where Aulay Street was, although I knew it was somewhere off the Old Kent Road. My granddad on my father's side, Henry Marshall Sales was born at 22 Aulay Street, and then lived at 27 Ossory Road. See my comments on the document.

Thanks for the 1956 map Joe. I really like to be able to place where my anecstors lived. It doesn't look as if it would be worth visiting that bit of the area, though, because it's so different now.

Kathy

If you have a look at Ossory Road on Google Earth or perhaps Bingmaps you will see the whole area has changed and it is one industrial complex, and as you said its not worth a visit you can see what its like in another way

Hi Colinfranksteer, welcome to the site. No photos at the moment but you never know I will keep looking and if I find any I will post them on site, also if you have any photos, like your mums picture, then that would be nice to post them on site. Cheers Kiwi.

Hi, my name is Sue Young and there is a photo on this site of Aulay street where lots of neighbours have gathered together for a street photo.
My mum and her good friend are in this photo would it be possible to get a copy of this as I am doing a family tree. My brother Colin Frank Steer has left you a message also.
I would like to know what year this photo was taken.
Sadly my mum Eva and her friend Moyra are no longer alive. I hope you can shed some light on this photo for me.
Kind regards Sue
