T.W. HASTINGS Boot & Shoe Repairs,205 Grange Road, Bermondsey, in the late 1980s.
Providing the street numbers hadn’t changed in c1921, 205 Grange Road was Grimwood Frederick, Grocer.

- Grange Road, where Taylors garage is. The flats on the right, are Grange House,The Grange.
The buildings dead in front are in Fendall Street & Grange Walk,with Abbey Street behind.

Solarium.Grange Road, offered universal healthcare offered universal healthcare on an eceptional scale,including the use of a Solarium.
I remember it well.

- 44 Grange Road the Medical Mission. Crimscott Street right.
- 107 Grange Road, Bermondsey near to Alscot Road c1979.
In c1921, a Miss Selina Fitzherbert MD.BS. physician & surgeon lived at number 44.
Number 107 was the Rotherhithe & Bermondsey District Rescue Home for Girls, a Miss Elizabeth Bacon was the superintendent at that time.

- Grange Road, Bermondsey, 1988. If I remember right this was opposite the Solarium, with the Royal Fort Pub to the left.
Bacon school for boys Grange rd

Does any-body remeber or go to Bacon school for boys (not Pages walk) in Grange Rd during the 1940's and 1950s?
