Tower Bridge Road 1976, looking towards the Troc-ette. Leroy Street on the right with the George Pub on the corner. Joyce’s Pie & Mash Shop was out of the picture on the right.
As far as I can work out Silverson, was roughly opposite Swan Mead.
Posted here simply because Silverson was at number 55-57. This does not mean it is the same location as numbers changed through the years, just that it might be.

Re: Tower Bridge Road
Picture States, Tooley Street, looking east by London Bridge Station c1905.
I’m positive this is Tower Bridge Road probable Bermondsey New Road when this picture was taken.
Rothsay Street is on the right, at that time with an hardware store on the far corner. Later it became G Edmund Ltd,Grocers and later as most of us know it Rossi’s Ice Cream.
The shop on the other corner in c1921 was Miller J. Bakers, the white building 67 & 69 Levy Louis, registered lodging house.

Re: Tower Bridge Road
M. Manze's eel and pie shop, opened in 1892 at 87 Tower Bridge Road, Bermondsey. This was the first of the Manze eel and pie shops and the oldest one still standing. When the photograph was taken in1991, Denise, Joanne and Michelle were cleaning up after another 'sold-out' day.
