The Finnish Pub. This once extremely popular music pub closed its doors c.2009 and was converted to numerous apartments by 2011. The corner shop in 1977 was 'Speedline Service' who supplied motor parts. Now occupied by 'Pullen's Motor Factors' who have been trading there for quite a few years.

I worked in Lynton Road (Falcon Works 262-302 Lynton Road, cardboard-box makers) in about 1957.
Only there a few months, packed it in to go down hopping. Coming from Galleywall Rd it was on left before the church.
My Grandfather and Great Grandmother lived in Lynton Road at one time, somewhere near that church. I have got an old photo of the family on the front steps and the Census of them living there.
Re: Lynton Road
