Chatteris Road c1961, looking towards Gurney Street, the building on the left is the rear of Crossways Central Mission Hall. The buildings ahead are nos. 23-45 of 'The Palatinate', New Kent Road is to the left.

Lion Street, c1890. St Matthews's National School for Boys & Girls, built in 1870. Destroyed by German bombing in 1941 along with the flats to the right side. Deacon Street was to the left, New Kent Road right, opposite Meadow Row.

Lion Street c.1965 and looking at the buildings of Chatteris Square, nos.130-112 on the corner and nos.131-95 on the right side of what is an arch partially hidden by the lorry cab. Chatteris Road right and New Kent Road down to the left.
