Boyce Street ran from Waterloo Road to Mepham Street, under the railway bridge, it has all disappeared along with all these buildings to make way for the roundabout.

I can’t remember Burtons Shop being there and with the 68 Tram Service ceasing in 1951, I think the year is probably the late 1940s.
To the left is The Old Vic on the corner of The Cut. On the right the Olive Branch Pub, the corner of Lower Marsh.
