East Street, same location 2022 Both are of East Lane - East Street is that place in Walworth where East Lane market is held! :) Strange thing about Oliver House on the left - check this out on GSV: the colour of the bricks, stock and red, is slightly different from exactly half way along. The brown building was the Swan & Sugarloaf. The Waterman's Arms was on the other side of Dockhead, on the corner with Arnold Place.

Hi, Kiwi. I can't work out to which building you refer. St John's had a rectory - it wasn't white and is still standing.

Elephant Lane comes from the right opposite Elephant Stairs (to the Thames) down the alley with rubbish, and left of Princess Iron Works. Am I right, that The Torbay pub was on the corner left? Yes, the Torbay was on that corner. Elephnat Lane comes up from St Marychurch Lane where the Ship pub is....
