The Golden Lion was situated at 23 Denmark Hill. This pub has now been demolished.

It was demolished in the early 1970s. The site is now occupied by a branch of the HSBC Bank

1949 Sad sight of another pub biting the dust. The George & Dragon was situated at 235 Camberwell Road. This pub has now been demolished.

The Enterprise was situated at 171 Coldharbour Lane. This pub closed in 1995 and was used as The Coast Bar until 2004. It is now used as a Vietnamese restaurant

I have been reading some articles about the number of pubs that are closing in the UK. The numbers are staggering including one every two days. I live in Toronto (ex Camberwell guy). One thing we do not have here is wonderful street names like this. I get a kick out of so many great street names in London. Frying Pan alley and so on
