I remember the Railway Buildings well as we used what was left of Worthing Buildings as a playground and used to have one of the rooms as a makeshift club house. Like many of us l loved that slide there was something special about getting on a coconut mat at the top of the wooden slide with its enclosed top. It was so well designed and made by W J Dixon &Son of Blue Anchor Lane and donated by Arthur Carr of Peak Frean were so many of my relatives worked....
