Redriff Road at one time ran right of the pub but now that part is no longer there, Elgar Street is left. This is looking from Rotherhithe Street. Isn't that Spenlow House on the left of picture, and the pic is looking towards the Tunnel? In which case, St James's Road will be to the right and Bevington Street to the left. I stand to be corrected...

Wasn't there a medical centre opposite the entrance to C/B? I seem to remember as a kid if you picked up a cut or graze whilst playing locally , they would always clean you up and stick a plaster on it,
