Both feet in - as usual!!

I was so excited re finding site that I banged in & posted in the wrong bit.  I live in Middlesex & have done so on & off - all my life.  I did go to The London Nautical School in 'The Boro' & knew that I had ancestors etc in the Bermondsey area.  Recently I have discovered - via census - that a gt grandad lived at 280 Guiness Buildings Pages Walk SE1 in 1901.  Any other 'Sextons' out there.  I remember years ago visiting an old aunt nr Tower Bridge.  She pronounced her address as 'Ber-mon-say' - very poshe.  I was also delighted to discover that the Cockney Area covers Bermondsey - so I come from a line of Celtic Cockneys.  What a lovely mixture.  Although my jobs etc have needed for me to speak 'well' - I am always being asked if I am from Australia - I always wondered where I got my twangy accent from.
