I remember Strathnairn St well, and the Pelling families (there were 2).
One Pelling family lived in a corner house, They had three boys. One of them was Richard, who was in my year at Alma School (last year 1953). I think he went on to Alleyn's School in Dulwich where his elder brother was.
The other Pelling family had, I think, two girls, one of whom was Pat Pelling. She was Head Girl at the Alma School, and her mother was a teacher. I always remember their house had a sycamore tree in the front garden - the seeds used to fascinate me as much as conkers.
