35 Hamilton Square
Frayed knot.
There are now blocks of flats called "Hamilton Square" on the site. On the west side of Kipling Street just south of the junction with Snowsfields.
hamilton sq was pulled down during the late 60's, my mum and dad were one of the last couples living there,, they then moved to st vincent hse in 1969 in grange walk
It's curious that Kipling Street, the road that was adjacent to Hamilton Square, was formerly called Nelson Street. Was this co-incidence, or a local joke that stuck?

On very old maps (late 19th century) Hamilton Square was known as Nelson Square and is noted as "Improved dwellings for the industrious classes". So perhaps the name was changed when the street was renamed?
Mind you, looking at photos of the buildings I dread to think what they were "improved" from.
