Alfred Salter statue at Cherry Garden Pier - Stolen

I don't care if this is Bermondsey or Southwark on this issue we are all one.

Unbelievable what some will stoop to. I thought of taking some improved photo's of it last week but decided that the light & sky wasn't to my liking. Here two I took earlier in July this year:

I have 2 children at Alfred Salter Primary School. What this man did for the poor of Bermondsey is astounding. It wouldn't or couldn't be done today. His devotion and service to Bermondsey even cost him his daughter. This is very distressing must not be allowed. Get a marble statue to relace the one stolen by the scum. Alfred Salter must have his statue replaced.

wth. many a time did I spend sat there after arguing with my mother, just the comfort and serenity of that location. I'm sickened by the travesty of this appalling act of immoral behaviour.. just goes to show the moral decay of the population these days. Not like years ago you could leave your door open and not have a worry in the world if anyone was going to enter your premises illegally.
