In Memory of Gilly

I have been informed by Shaddon that Gilly, one of our long time Members (Friend) has passed away after a long fight with Cancer.
Gilly joined the site on the 2nd December 2009.
From the messages she sent me, Gilly came across as a Happy Fun loving person and enjoyed reading your posts about Bermondsey life.
My thoughts go out to Gilly's Family and Shaddon who was a close Friend.

first i would like to thank bermondsey boy for putting this in memory on the site .
well i have known gilly for many years we use to drink together in the raymouth,collenbawn,the warrior just to name a few she loved to have a good laugh and would listen and help anyone i know she is going to be missed by all her family and freinds and i also know that she would be over the moon to know that there is a page on this site in memory of her my thoughts go out to her family and friends and i would just like to say i have never meet a friend like gill in my 57years i will miss our chats on the phone we met a couple of times recently she came to mine in wales with her hubby chris and i went to visit her all can say is R.I.P.gill i will miss you you are 1 in a million so take care until we meet again .
What was Gilly's surname and maiden name? She may have been about my age. I wonder if I knew her, years ago.

her surname is birch and her maiden name is vaughan and when gill lived in london she lived in the flats galleywall rd also down by the river near angle pub .
HI ALL Firstly can i say that i never knew GILLY or contacted her on the web site,but needless to say it sadden me to hear of her of her death.As we know this web site is all about memories,the people who knew GILLY have those real life memories,of her smile,laughter and much more that only they know, your memories will always be there.So when they pop into your heads ,just SMILE maybe with a tear in your eye, but SMILE,as i say i never knew GILLY,but i think it is what she would want. It is so sad to hear of people passing but going by Shaddon comment it looks like Gilly lived life to the full.Heart felt wishes to Gillys friends n family....x
gilly would be over the moon reading these posts and yes she did live life to the full had many a good laugh the pair of us she will be missed by everone that knew her i will never have another friend like gilly she was 1 of the best xx
