Does anyone know anything about Mellicks Place Bermondsey, a lot of my family were born and lived there - I know it was demolished and it was of poor housing - any info would be good.

My wifes family (Muirhead) were living at number 10 around 1860-1880 (James and Elizabeth Muirhead)

I was born at number 43 mellicks place on the 26,12.1932 at my nans house, they built part of purbrook estate and we were moved with other people into the new flats we lived at 41 purbrook estate. My nan and aunts were also moved into the flats and mellicks place was demolished.when the was fiinished we into a prefab 112 abbey street were i lived untill 1954 when i got married

hi johnny green iv seen you mention mellicks place that was were my family were born or some ov them from a family ov sixteen you might ov nown the name the marks family im the youngest ov them george marks and joany marks and silva are still alive and well thay moved out ov there moved into a new 4 bedroom flat in elim estate into a four bedroom flat what a blast from the past
