WEBBER LOST FAMILY INFORMATION
Hope some one can help.
My dad was born in 1921 , we think in The Russell Scott Buildings and presume that this was on Cherry Garden Street which he used to call the tennaments. Can anyone remember this or my dad or family?. As much information as I have is below:-
My dad was John Leonard Webber his brother was Albert Webber and so was my grandad. Grandad worked at Watneys for a while. We cannot find anything about grandma, her name was Jane Isabel Webber formerly Lord.
My dad had a mate by the name of Johnny Barham (not sure of the spelling).
Dad lost his leg when he was 4 years old play in the street, he went to a special school for the disabled. Not sure where. He died on Sunday 11th July 2010.
If anyone can remember this family I would be in your debt, Iknow it is a long time ago and not many of the old folks are around but if someone remembers just a little please mail me.

Hi Greg, I recently found this forum and have been captivated by the stories and couldn't believe it when I read your mail from last year.
Jane Isobel Lord, wife of Albert Webber, was the daughter of George Lord and Emily Faulkner. Emily Faulkner was my grandfather's aunt. Jane was born c1886 in Rotherhithe and married Albert on 7 Feb.1916 at St.Crispin's Church. She had one sister Emily, and 4 brothers John,George,Herbert and Stephen.
Are you registered on Genes Reunited? I saw a Greg Webber listed there. If so, I'd be happy to make my family tree available to you.
Terry
Great,
Thanks for the extra information. I did not know about my grandmothers brothers and sister. I am not sure if I am registered with Genes Reunited as I have been on so many sites trying to find out about relatives for free.
I will look at the site but I am sure it must be me as one of my cousins has built a family tree of sorts.
It has been difficult trying to trace people that you know little of as grandma died when dad was very young, by all hearsay accounts it was my dads grandma that brought him up but we dont know from which side of the family.
Thanks
Greg
Greg, it seems that Jane Webber died in 1926 in St.Olave district,Rotherhithe.
Prior to marrying your grandfather she lived in Russell Scott Buildings with her parents and siblings.
Her sister Emily married James Nowlan (Nolan?). They too lived in RS Buildings. Her brother John married Eliza Cormack and they lived at 45 Keetons Road.
