'The Blue'

hi everyone, i'm 42 and can remember the blue during the 70's and 80's, it used to be really busy, me mum used to go down there twice a week, since thats all we really had untill the shopping centre got built, tesco's was always popular even though there wasn't that much in there, the stalls were really busy, i don't remember grange baths that much the reason being st vincent hse in grange walk had their own bathrooms so never had to use em, loved bermondsey then, everyone new everyone else unlike these days, so have moved to welling, went to kintore way,boutcher and bacons

Hello all, wonder if you can help?
My Mum was over today, and I have these 2 old photos of me, one with my Dad, would have been taken about 1963, anyway, my Mum says they were taken somewhere 'down the blue', she reckons it was a shop in SPR, might have been near St James Road, she can't really remember that well, but it might have been a pet shop, or a cafe, but whoever it was, he had a parrot! As you can see.........just wondered if anyone out there can throw any light on it?
