what about maria azzapardi i liked her an bernice her mum had a sweet shop so she was a favorite another girl always had nice dresses her family had a fruit shop down the blue was her name rose or was that the family name i remember the night max came to visit he had a pop at the headmaster everybody laughed except the head i did'nt get the joke but i still laughed me head off some pics would be good of the old school so get looking seeya
Hey Man. I went to st josephs and left in 1954. My mum has often mentioned Maxie. I think their family lived in a cutting off between Albion Street and Rotherhithe underground station. Although I remember the names you gave my main teacher was Mr (Bronco) Riley. The school mates were Mary Ledger, Pamela Dobson, Peter Dangerlitis and Peter Whiffen. Mary and Pamela and myself were the only pupils to pass the 11 plus that year. We were taken to see the boat race as our top prize. I would love to know what became of those 2 girls
