I have just discovered this wonderful site and am sure you can help.
I am trying to put together the ancestry of our families and am trying to add photos of streets, buildings and churches where all those important event took place.
In particular St James and St Mary Magdalene churches.
The family names I am looking at are Peile, Sollis, Young, Dell and Pallen from way back until around the 60's.
Thanks for reading

St James Church and interior showing the Organ

Mary Magdalen Church

Hi Kyoung

There is also a video of the inside of Mary Magdalen Church showing Harvest Festival for Bacon School.
Also if you would like more history try http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1615634 for Mary Magdalen. and http://www.buildingconservation.com/articles/stjamesorgan/stjamesorgan.htm for St James Church.
There are lots of photo's of now lost historical buildings on this site, may take a little time to sift through them all, but it's worth it.

Hopefully someone may recognise the names, good luck in your search.

There was a Pallen family used to live opposite us in Strathnairn St - I knew the two brothers Robert and Raymond Pallen.
