Peter's ice cream shop - near Tower Bridge/Guys
Hi,
I remember an Italian style ice cream shop, underneath a bridge or arch. Whenever I had to go to Guy's as a child, my treat on the way home was a lemon ice from Peter's. Does anyone else remember this?

Yes I remember him, he was a good friend to my dad. His name was Peter Pertoni or Betoni not sure of the spelling. Always insisted on plying me and my sisters Jackie and Martina with his ice cream. Much better than Rossi's in Tower Bridge Road.
Is this the same Peter Bertoni who had a little morris thousnd van wife was Rosie had a greengrocers and sold ice cream through the window of the shop at the bottom of Tabard st Bricklayers arm end my sister-law Rosie Cooper used to work for peter and rose he was also a great friend of dickie Cooper My father -in law
I think Ruth may have got confused with the underpass at the brick
