My husbands Aunt & Uncle ran the Raymouth Tavern when this photo was taken and for afew years after it too there names were Reg & Renie King. My father inlaw ran the Monday night club there too! He also sang in there for a good few years his name is John Crammond Sir John to his friends.

Hi Sheila52
Welcome to the site.
Yes iv'e had a few drinks in the Coleen Bawn and Raymouth in my younger days, very entertaining pubs, certainly brings back memories of my teen years with my friends looking for Girls.
Never did find any though, must have been my aftershave (Brut) or the tub of brylcream on my hair? still it was fun trying.
Hi Bermondseyboy looking through the old Pub photos I knew quite a few of them particularly The Queens Arms in Spa Rd my Father used to drink there and he used to send out a lemonade and a packet of Smiths Crisps with the salt wrapped in blue paper. I rember looking inside and seeing the floor was covered in sawdust, probably to soak up spilt beer and blood from the fights that went on' The pub, although being named The Queens Arms, was known as Larbys, maybe it was the name of the owner at the time, who knows?
The Gregorian always seemed a "Posh" place when i was a boy compared with The Queens Arms Spa Rd, I see St James Church there in the background now that is a place of memories as I went to school in St James prior to the War and a lot of time was spent in St James park, happy days.. Cheers
